![]() ![]() Update: DIAL protocol tested in Windows 10. It looks like that performance gap will be closed now though because Microsoft are adding extensions and improvements to Windows 10 Casting (AKA MS Miracast.) The user experience will be better, paring over WiFi Direct will be faster and there’ll be a back-channel for user interface control (touchscreens.) We’ve tested it and it’s true. Intel’s WiDI screen casting hardware was always a step ahead of the Miracast implementation it was built around but it was largely irrelevant because Windows 8 only ever supported Miracast. Seemed like I spent as much time fiddling with it as I did actually watching anything. We’ve been tracking wireless display ever since it was an Ultrabook feature. Frequent lockups, updates that break previous channels you created, took FOREVER to update channels at times, channels that sometimes didn't show up, etc. What is the point of a playlist if it doesn't actually play the list? I am starting to consider installing Pseudo TV Live again since it did what I want to do but that addon was so problematic the last time I used it. I also tried deleting my userdata, rebuilding my TV library, and creating a smart playlist for The Simpsons by episode from scratch. If I then go into "TV shows" and play the episode from there, it continues on to the next episode after the first one ends. I removed the random sort from the smart playlist. What is super frustrating is that I can find many instances on google search where what I am doing SHOULD work. Copied only library, database, and thumbnail files from the other data into my new install. Like I say, it's very suspicious in conjunction with Pseudo TV Live. Eventually I realized that these playlists were all I was using Pseudo TV Live for, so I uinstalled the addon. It would play the next episode, and not reshuffle. Īlso, another variable, this playlist I created (and others like it) were used by Pseudo TV Live as channels for their particular show. If I still have the issue at that point I will be back. I was thinking maybe somehow it appears to be enabled but is not actually.Īnyway at this point I will try to figure out how to backup my config and do a complete reinstall. The reason I suspect Pseudo TV Live is because that addon cannot function correctly with play next video automatically enabled, and when you install it, it disables this feature. I was hoping this was a known or fairly common issues but seems not. Plays one episode, then stops and reshuffles the whole playlist. I tried recreating the playlist just now as a test, and it does the same thing. Thanks to the people who were kind, and the people who weren't can go stuff themselves.Ī smart playlist, with Show = Simpsons, Order by = Random. I have no idea why, and no longer care at this point. So, again, this issue only manifests itself in the Smart playlists. From the normal playlist one episodes plays after the other JUST FINE. Well, I am not sure if anyone still cares at this point, but I ended up solving this by making a NORMAL playlist, then SHUFFLING it, and using that instead of the Smart playlist. I am reluctant to do a complete reinstall as it takes so long to get everything tweaked the way I like it. ![]() I suspect that this addon may be what introduced the issue. If it matters, at one point I had installed Pseudo TV Live, but have since uninstalled it. I have checked and double checked and under Player settings -> Videos the play next video setting automatically is most definitely turned on. This basically renders random playlists completely useless. For some reason when I'm in a playlist in kodi it does not play the next video automatically, and what's worse, if it's a random playlist it then randomizes the entire playlist again.
